My journey to revolutionizing property management began not in the world of real estate, but in the intricate realm of bits and bytes. With a Bachelor’s degree in Internet Science and Technology, followed by a Master’s in Information and Communication Technology (awarded with Distinction), I developed a deep-seated appreciation for the power of well-designed digital systems. Little did I know that this fascination with technology would eventually lead me down a path paved with bricks and mortar, and ultimately, to the foundation of AQARRATTI.
My career took an unexpected turn into the dynamic field of construction and maintenance management. This wasn’t about lines of code; it was about real-world challenges, about the tangible needs of buildings and the people who occupied them. It was here, on construction sites and within the walls of countless properties, that I gained invaluable hands-on experience. I worked directly with landlords, listened to the concerns of tenants, and witnessed firsthand the daily friction caused by inefficient processes. The sheer volume of paperwork, the delays in communication, and the reliance on manual methods became glaringly apparent. Whether it was coordinating repairs, tracking maintenance schedules, or managing the flow of information between parties, the limitations of traditional approaches were a constant source of frustration.
This experience in the tangible world of construction and maintenance provided a crucial perspective. I understood the pain points not from a purely technological standpoint, but from the ground up – from the perspective of those directly impacted by the inefficiencies. This empathy and practical understanding became the driving force behind my desire to find a better way.
The next step in my journey led me directly into the complexities of real estate management. Taking over a new building with a host of unresolved issues and the urgent need to begin leasing 173 apartments simultaneously threw me headfirst into the deep end. The challenges were multifaceted: coordinating with contractors to complete outstanding works, grappling with missing essential documentation, and managing the burgeoning needs of future tenants. The sheer scale of information management – from tracking snags to managing lease inquiries – highlighted the urgent need for a streamlined, digital solution.
It was amidst this whirlwind of real estate management that the seeds of AQARRATTI truly began to sprout. Drawing upon my background in IT and my practical experience in construction, maintenance, and now real estate, I envisioned a system that could bridge the communication gaps, automate tedious tasks, and ultimately foster a more harmonious relationship between landlords and tenants. After months of conceptualization and planning, AQARRATTI was officially born on May 2, 2021.
AQARRATTI wasn’t just another software solution; it was born out of a genuine desire to solve real-world problems I had personally encountered. It was conceived with the understanding that technology should empower people, simplify processes, and ultimately create a better experience for everyone involved in property management. This first step, recognizing the limitations of the old ways and the potential of the new, was the crucial foundation upon which AQARRATTI would be built.
