The Dubai Land Department (DLD) is bolstering transparency in its real estate sector by implementing an AI-powered Real Estate Advertising Governance Platform. Launched at GITEX 2024, this innovative system monitors property advertisements across various online channels to ensure they comply with regulatory standards, ultimately fostering greater investor confidence.
Since its inception, the platform has scrutinized over 279,000 listings on prominent platforms like Property Finder, Dubizzle, and Bayut. Impressively, the AI automatically adjusted 29 percent of these advertisements to meet the required guidelines, demonstrating its efficiency in maintaining accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Ali Abdullah Al Ali, Director of the Real Estate Control Department at RERA, emphasized the platform’s crucial role in modernizing market oversight through advanced technology. He stated that this AI-driven approach enables more precise and effective monitoring of advertisements, thereby increasing trust among both buyers and sellers. This technological advancement solidifies Dubai’s standing as a leader in real estate innovation and governance.
The platform’s daily monitoring of advertisements reflects the DLD’s strategic emphasis on digital transformation. Al Ali highlighted that integrating AI into regulatory processes is a key tool in the DLD’s commitment to delivering superior services.
This initiative is part of broader digital advancements highlighted during Dubai AI Week. Furthermore, the DLD, via RERA, previously introduced the ‘Madmoun’ electronic service within the Trakheesi system. This service generates a QR code for each approved real estate advertisement, which must be displayed. Consumers can scan these codes to instantly verify the legitimacy of the listing, adding an extra layer of security and transparency to the market.
These proactive measures underscore Dubai’s ambition to be a global leader in digital governance and real estate innovation, supporting the emirate’s long-term economic goals. The DLD’s strategic adoption of AI and digital tools reinforces its commitment to a transparent, efficient, and reliable real estate market, strengthening Dubai’s position as a prime global investment hub.
